Export reports to CSV and Excel
Download any ProfitClerk report as a CSV file for Excel, Google Sheets or your accountant: profit and loss, fees, tax, ads, stock, expenses and mileage.
Every ProfitClerk report can be downloaded as a CSV file: select Export CSV at the top of the report. CSV files open in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers and most accounting software, and the file covers the period you are looking at.

What you can export
| Export | Where | What is in it |

| Fee breakdown | Reports › Fee breakdown | Each eBay fee type by month, in money and as a share of sales |
| Tax collected | Reports › Tax collected | Tax by month and type, then by country and state or province |

| Breakdowns | Reports › Breakdowns | One row per category, brand, label or marketplace |
| Sourcing | Reports › Sourcing | One row per source |
| Unsold stock | Reports › Unsold stock | Every item on hand, with age, sell-through and listing |

The Tax page has its own Tax-year exports: your tax forms box by box, a bookkeeping journal for your accountant, and, depending on your country, DATEV, FEC or a margin scheme stock book. See The tax centre.
Export a report
- Open the report.
- Choose the period at the top. See Report periods.
- On Breakdowns, choose how to group; on Expenses, set any filters.
- Select Export CSV (or Export log for mileage).
The file downloads straight away. Its name says what it is and the period, for example profit-and-loss-tax-year-2026-27.csv or sales-by-brand-…csv.
In the app
Reports in the app have a download button at the top. It opens the export in your browser, signed in, and the file downloads there. On the Money tab, tap the download button on the Profit and loss card.
Opening the file in Excel
Double-clicking a CSV usually opens it in Excel. If amounts or accented characters look wrong:
- In Excel, open a blank workbook.
- Go to Data › From Text/CSV and choose the file.
- Choose UTF-8 as the file origin, and comma as the delimiter.
- Select Load.
Amounts use a full stop for decimals and no thousands separator, so they stay numbers you can add up. In Google Sheets, use File › Import and upload the file.
Tips for your accountant
- Export for Last tax year once the year has ended, so the figures cover the whole year.
- The profit and loss shows your accounting basis on its first row; make sure it is the one your accountant expects.
- Send receipts with the expenses export: open each expense to download its receipt.
- All figures are estimates from your eBay data and the costs you entered. Your accountant or tax authority has the final word.
