eBay may owe you: fee credits and labels to check
ProfitClerk looks through eBay's records for fees kept on refunded sales and postage labels bought twice or never used, so you can claim the money back.
eBay may owe you lists money worth claiming back, found in eBay's own finance records: fees eBay kept on sales you refunded, and postage labels that were bought twice or for parcels that never went. Check each one on eBay, then set it aside.
Where to find it
- Website: Reports › eBay may owe you. When there is something to check, the Overview says how much, with See them.
- App: Money › More reports › eBay may owe you, or the notice on Home.
- The weekly profit email mentions it too.

What it looks for
| Check | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Fee not credited back | A sale refunded in full a week or more ago still carries its final value fee. | eBay usually credits that fee back. If it has not, ask eBay about it. |
| More labels than items | An order was charged for more eBay Labels than it has items, and none was voided. | If a label was bought twice, void the one you did not use on eBay. |
| Label on a refunded order | An order refunded in full still has a label charge and no void. | If the parcel never went, void the label on eBay to get the money back. |
Each line shows the order (click it to open the order page), when it happened and how much is at stake. The total at the top adds them up.

Set one aside
Once you have checked one, on eBay or because it was right, click Checked (in the app, tap Checked). It stops showing for everyone in the workspace. Owners and managers can do this; viewers only see the list.

Labels bought in bulk are checked separately: see eBay Labels bought in bulk.
Questions people ask
Does ProfitClerk claim the money from eBay for me?
No. ProfitClerk only reads your eBay records and never changes anything on eBay. It points out what to look at; you check it and contact eBay or void the label yourself.
Why does a refunded sale still have its fee?
eBay usually credits the final value fee back when a sale is refunded in full or cancelled, often within a few days. A sale still carrying it a week or more after the refund is worth asking eBay about.
An order needed two labels. Why is it listed?
An order is listed when it has more label charges than items and none was voided, as one may have been bought twice. If both parcels really went, press Checked to set it aside.
Why are some label purchases not here?
Labels bought in bulk are shared over their orders under Shipping › Label charges to check, so they are left out here.
How far back does it look?
The last 120 days of eBay's finance records.
