Cookies on the ProfitClerk website

Which cookies the ProfitClerk website uses, what the cookie notice asks, how to accept or reject optional cookies, and how to change your choice later.

Updated 13 October 2026 3 min read

The ProfitClerk website uses the cookies it needs to sign you in and keep the site secure. These are always on. Anything optional, such as counting visits, is only used if you allow it. The first time you visit, a slim Cookies notice along the bottom of the page explains what is used and lets you choose. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the legal links at the bottom of the page.

The notice shows on your first visit in each browser and says what the site uses. What it offers depends on what the site uses:

  • Only necessary cookies: "We only use the cookies needed to sign you in and keep the site secure. Nothing is used for tracking or advertising." Select OK to close it.
  • Optional cookies as well: "We use cookies needed to run the site. With your permission we would also like to use optional cookies to understand how the site is used. You can change your mind at any time." You choose:
    • Accept all: allow every optional cookie
    • Reject optional: allow only the necessary ones
    • Choose: pick category by category
The cookie notice
The cookie notice

The notice never covers a form: the page moves up to make room for it.

If the site measures its advertising, for example with the Meta Pixel, the notice and Cookie settings say so.

Select Choose in the notice, or Cookie settings in the legal links, to see the categories:

  • Necessary: signing in, security and remembering these choices. Always on, because the site cannot work without them.
  • Analytics (when used): counting visits and seeing how the site is used, so it can be improved.
  • Marketing (when used): measuring advertising and showing you relevant ads elsewhere.

Switch on the ones you allow and select Save choices.

Change your choice later

  1. Scroll to the bottom of any page: Cookie settings is in the Legal column of the website's footer, and in the legal links once you are signed in.
  2. Select Cookie settings.
  3. Change the switches and select Save choices.

Your choice applies to this browser. If you use ProfitClerk on another computer or browser, choose there as well.

How long your choice lasts

Your choice is kept in a cookie for 180 days. After that, or if you clear your browser's cookies, the notice asks again. A record of what you chose and when is also kept, as proof of your consent.

Cookies and signing in

The necessary cookies are what keep you signed in. If your browser blocks all cookies for the ProfitClerk website, you cannot sign in. Allowing necessary cookies is enough: you can still reject every optional one.

The app

The cookie notice is for the website. The mobile app does not use website cookies. What the app collects, including notifications and purchase information, is described in the Privacy Policy, under More › Legal & privacy.
